What the role is

As a Manager/ Senior Manager in MCI's Research and Data Division, you will be responsible for undertaking indepth research work on public opinion trends in Singapore, which provides insights that contribute to MCI's objectives of strengthening wholeofGovernment public communications, fostering an engaged public and enhancing public perception of Government. This requires delivering insightful findings that can be derived from multiple datasets from various sources.

What you will be working on

To excel in this role, you will need to have an interest in current affairs, including issues related to geopolitical developments and understand how it might affect policy making and communications formulation in Government. You will also need to have an objective and evaluative mind to provide rational perspectives on public policy issues, develop partnerships with key agencies, and effectively tap into a range of research tools.

What we are looking for

Background in Political Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, Statistics and other related disciplines
25 years of relevant working experience
Knowledge and understanding of fundamental statistics and research methods
Experience with all stages of the research process, from research design through to analysis and reporting
Knowledge of SPSS will be advantageous
Strong observational and analytical capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Initiative, resourcefulness, and ability to work independently and efficiently
Comfortable working in a fastpaced environment
