- Complete required training (e.g. cGMP, safety and work instructions, Autonomous and/or Operational Maintenance (AM/OM), etc.) within a stipulated time frame
- Execute tasks strictly following cGMP, Quality, Safety and Work instruction requirements.
- Ensure employees follow safety, quality requirement, and all applicable company policies at all times.
- Undertake safe and correct handling of tools in accordance to their intended use and operating procedures to complete planned schedule for Equipment Maintenance.
- Interpret engineering safety and safeguarding practices.
- Able to read and interpret a Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with guidance.
- Identify types of hazards at workplace.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain cleanliness (6S) of the working area.
- Able to use problem identification techniques to recognize issues within work area and escalate any concerns
- Meet daily production schedule, performance expectation and equipment efficiency, factoring in equipment availability
- Able to take on additional tasks or responsibilities when required.
- Competent to complete routine tasks in assigned group, including all relevant autonomous management activities, with some supervision.
- Able to support troubleshooting on common issues associated to product, process and equipment.
- Improvement work: Participate in process improvement team within the same shift. Apply continuous process improvement to workplace activities as well as follow-through the improvement activities.
- Incident investigation and reporting: Assist in incident investigation. Able to provide a general written account on the overview of the incident with broad supervision.
- Work in a team to meet daily production target under some supervision.
- Apply workplace learning techniques to enhance employees' development with some guidance.
- Be a role model for junior members.
- Have a good understanding of Manufacturing/ Enterprise systems/ Manufacturing IOT and automations.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, Quality, work safety instructions & practices at all times.
- Complete tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

- Able to work in a manufacturing production environment, including cleanroom, with possible exposure to chemical, cold room, loud noise, etc.

- Able to operate equipment and machinery such as forklift, scanner, power tools, etc.
- Must be able to identify different colors for work purposes. In Illumina, we handle components/chemicals with different colors, and it is necessary to be able to differentiate and identify the correct components/chemicals (using visual) during operation.
- Possess a positive attitude and sense of urgency.
- Meticulous, keen attention to details and organized.
- The candidate must be able to work 12 hours (from 0800 to 2015 for the day shift and from 2000 to 0815 for the night shift) rotating shifts (4 monthly rotations from day to night and vice versa) with staggered break times in accordance with the roster.
- Able to work standing for a prolonged periods of time without sitting.
- Able to lift 15kg or less of heavy weight safely.
- Minimum 6 years of operations experience for Secondary School or 4 years of operations experience for 'O' Level or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience for Higher NITEC or equivalent.
- Diploma graduate or equivalent with relevant Engineering qualification and 1 year of operations experience.
- Experience in GMP controlled manufacturing/production environment.
- Knowledge in automation / IOT / Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) will have added advantage
- Prior training experienced preferred.
- Education major in Science stream .
- Experience in Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Chemical manufacturing production environment.
- Experience in handling enzymes, proteins and antibodies.
- Experience in using basic laboratory instruments (e.g. pH meter, conductivity meter, digital refractometer, osmometer, density meter, UV/Vis spectrophotometer, NanoDropTM spectrophotometer, micropipettes, weighing balance).
- Experience in using analytical instruments (e.g. Ultra/High performance liquid chromatography, ion chromatography, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry).
