Roles & Responsibilities

The Job

You will join the Research & Development Section equipped with advanced and comprehensive laboratory facilities and assist the Chemist in product development projects.

The Daily

• Assist in the research and development of Polypropylene and Polyethylene products for value added applications.
• Schedule and carry out day-to-day activities for product design projects to meet the targets for new product development.
• Assist Chemist to carry out commissioning and method development for new equipment and improve existing testing methods.
• Play a major role in the smooth operation of the R&D laboratory by actively involving in regular maintenance of equipment, preparation and revision of operating procedures, maintaining excellent housekeeping and all activities related to Health, Safety & Environment.

The Essentials

• Degree in Chemical/Polymer/Material Engineering or Chemistry.
• Diploma in Chemical Process/Material Technology with several years' experience in the Polymer Industry will also be considered.
• Experience in polymer material processing and testing will be an added advantage.
• Candidate should be a team player with initiative, good analytical thinking, and communication skills, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
