ACCOUNTABLE TO:

TECHNICAL MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORITIES:

1 Plan, carry out design activity, monitor design progress with site progress;
2 Responsible for the preparation of design calculation, checking of shop drawings;
3 Liaising with external parties (developer, main contractor, architect, civil and structural consultant, M&E consultant) for:
a. Identify and request for incomplete design input from client/others;
b. Identify discrepancies on design inputs (architect's, C&S consultant's and M&E consultant's drawings), list them and request for resolution from client/others;
c. Understand construction sequence so as to prioritize design activities;
d. Produce design calculation, prepare sketches for the draftsperson to draw;
e. Check drawings drawn by senior designer, designer, and draftsperson;
f. Obtain approval of design output from client;
g. Resolve technical problems pertaining to the design.

4 Liaising with other internal company functions on all matters related to design and shop drawings.

**RESOURCE REQUIREMENTS: 1 University degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

3 Minimum 1 to 2 years Design experience in a structural works consultancy office.

4 Computer Literacy.
