Description
**Responsibilities: - Responsible for the full spectrum of HR activities of the company and its subsidiaries. They include inter-alia payroll, recruitment, manpower, succession planning, employee benefits, performance appraisal management, employee relations, training & development, talent management, conflict management and industrial relations etc.

  • Responsible for managing the daytoday operations of the HR function. Redesign and streamline, plan and roll out new, innovative and viable initiatives, continuous enhancements of existing human resources operational processes, and reduces the administrative burden.
  • Formulate and shape the organisation's business strategy and enterprise risk management with senior business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess an organisation's current and future core capabilities required to deliver against business strategy in a competitive operating environment and changing business landscape and economic conditions.
  • Responsible for developing effective crisis communication and enable seamless communication and responses in the event of emergency and crisis situations.
  • Strategize and oversee manpower planning, recruitment, end to end onboarding and offboarding processes including formulation of policies and programmes for skills upgrading, inemployment training, retraining of workers and employee engagement.
  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate execution of monthly payroll processing, statutory submissions and HR reports for the group of companies.
  • Plan, review, formulate and implement HR policies, with an effective performance management system that suits the organizations' needs and aligned with the organisation's objectives. Work closely with various stakeholders, develop robust strategic talent development and succession planning aligning with functional growth strategies across the plant.
  • A change agent to continuously enhance employees' attitudes, beliefs and values. Motivate employees to enable them to unleash their potential and enhance their capabilities to meet the organisation's needs, requirements and expectations.
  • Ensure organisational compliance with regulatory requirements especially on workplace health and safety and keep abreast of changes in compliance requirements. Timely submission and reporting of management/statutory reporting to the management and government authorities.
  • Responsible for administrative function of the company.
**Requirements: - Tertiary education with additional qualifications in Human Resources Management or related disciplines.

  • Minimum 10 years of working experience with at least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity in the chemicals manufacturing and/or engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of local employment laws and industrial relations act and HR practices.
  • Must be able to handle restricted and confidential information with highest level of integrity.
  • Track record of successful implementation and roll out of HR projects, initiatives or HRIS system.
  • Resourceful, highly motivated and proactive, people oriented, responsible, meticulous and handson, able to multitask, ability to work independently and is a team player.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, problemsolving, analytical, critical thinking skills in decision making.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills including negotiation, persuasion and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin is essential.
