    Roles & Responsibilities

    We are looking to expand our current team in Mott MacDonald Singapore and interested in applications from Systems/Design Engineers with experience in airport, transport hub, or critical facilities development, requirement management, systems architecting, human factors, and control room design.

    We are currently seeking an experienced Principal Systems Engineer (IT and Airport Systems) to join our team based in Singapore office. In this role you will find opportunities for strong career progression by contributing to boutique and large scale local and international projects.

    As the member of our team, you will have experience in a similar role and will be given a degree of autonomy and responsibility that suits a self-starting and self-reliant person who can handle the responsibility of delivering complex, technology-focused facility and systems, encompassing various stakeholders' requirement, and multi-parties' systems interfaces and integration, to meet the project's objectives. The development will include, but not limited to, airport, transport hub, critical facilities, data centres, commercial and mixed-use buildings. You also will have opportunity to be involved in Digital Advisory works, providing advice and high-level consultancy services to clients from various industry.

    What you will typically do:

    • Requirement management, to capture (from various stakeholders and documents), refine, record, and ensure traceability and assurance, using special requirement management tools or general spreadsheet-based tool.
    • Work with discipline leads to develop an integrated systems architecture and model (using Visio or MBSE/EA tool) to ensure integrated design solution.
    • Manage the development of Operation Centres (Control Rooms), from user requirement, spatial planning, human factors, integration, technology and service provisions.
    • Liaising with users/stakeholders, client's project team, coordinating with design team, other disciplines team and interfacing parties, on key issues and risks.
    • Lead the development of the Systems Integration Test Strategy, with input from specialists
    • Develop cost plan associated with the design works.
    • Develop reports, presentation, calculations, drawings, model, and specifications as required for project deliverables and for coordination works.
    • Use MS Visio, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SharePoint, AutoCAD/Revit, BIM collaboration platform, or other specialized software tools

    You typically will have a degree in Engineering or equivalent with relevant 7+ years of experience in the consulting and design of complex, large-scale technology-focused facility and systems, experience in airport, transport hub, or critical facilities development is preferred. Candidate with experience in requirement management, complex systems architecting and integration, and design of control rooms is highly desirable.

    About you:

    • Degree in Engineering
    • Current and proven experience as Design or Consulting Systems Engineer, technology-focused, with design experience within Airport, Transportation, Utilities, Data Centre, Mission Critical Facilities, Commercial sectors.
    • Knowledge and experience in IT and Airport Systems, including IT infrastructure, network and communication systems, ICT systems integration, cybersecurity, Control/Operations Room design, Smart Building, IoT, Data Analytics, AI/ML, sustainability - will be desirable.
    • Industry certification (e.g. any credential from BICSI, EPI, CNET, INCOSE, TOGAF etc.) – highly desirable
    • Knowledge of Industry Standard and regulations
    • Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills is essential.
