    Roles & Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    The job holder (2-year contract) reports to the Director CDLT and is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing effective learning experiences for all users of the Learning Management System ("LMS"). The job holder is expected to collaborate with educators, subject matter experts, vendors and other stakeholders, to design and provide first-level of LMS user support that align with educational goals and leverages innovative teaching methods. In addition, the job holder will provide administrative support to the Director CDLT.

    The job holder will work closely with all stakeholders and vendors to ensure that the LMS is administered successfully with continuity through the provision of first-level technical assistance, administering all user accounts, training of users, and the creation of self-help resources for users.

    The job holder is expected to work from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm on weekdays and may be required to work over the weekends and Public Holidays to support MENDAKI's events. Although the job holder is largely expected to work in an indoor environment, he is also expected to travel frequently for meetings.

    Key Responsibility Areas

    Project Management

    • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders on areas of learning solutions, learning technology, graphic and animations as well as video creations.
    • Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan for implementing LMS.
    • Collaborate with vendors to select, implement, and customise LMS to meet organisational needs.
    • Administer and configure LMS user accounts and related accessrights.
    • Communicate project objectives, timelines, and updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
    • Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by stakeholders related to LMS implementation.
    • Develop and manage the project budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost- effectiveness throughout the implementation.
    • Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring deliverables are on schedule and within budget.
    • Design, develop and facilitate initiatives to train the different teachers or facilitators or administrators within the area of learning design and technology.
    • Manage the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for end users.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to users post- implementation.

    b. Project Review & Evaluation

    • Implement and manage quality assurance processes to ensure the functionality and effectiveness of LMS.
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the LMS and regularly evaluate its impact on learning outcomes.
    • Generate reports and summarising project progress and outcomes.
    • Formulate decisions that will enhance the effectiveness of learning experiences from stakeholders.
    • Conduct regular assessments to identify and address any issues or improvements needed

    c. Data Management

    • Ensure the accurate and secure management of data within the LMS, adhering to privacy and compliance standards.
    • Ensure that LMS and learning tools used comply with relevant industry standards and data security regulations.
    • Implement best practices for data privacy and security within the learning environment.
    • Implement data migration strategies when transitioning from existing systemsto the new LMS.

    d. Team Management

    • Manage and coordinate a cross-functional project team, providing clear support.
    • Encourage a collaborative team environment and ensure all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of related instructional design and development experience.
    • Have participated in special projects on teaching and learning.
    • A degree in Instructional Design & Technology, Education or Learning Sciences & Technologies or equivalent.
    • Good knowledge on learning management systems as well as course and learner evaluation methodology.
    • Strong project management skills with experience in all phases of the instructional design process.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Understanding of agile methodology and ability to handle multiple priorities in a very fluid working environment.
    • Strong technology vendor management skills with experience working with multiple stakeholders.
    • Ability to learn new tools and processes quickly with little guidance or support documentation.
    • Meticulous in work details.
    • Analytical and possess good creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
