    The performance management and actuarial supports organization performance management and actuarial functions.

    Role and Responsibilities

  • Providing actuarial oversight across all health-related pricing, underwriting and claims practices.
  • Developing and executing new, innovative pricing strategies that will allow the company to build out a sustainable health insurance business.
  • Partnering with the Propositions team to deliver new, innovative health insurance solutions that are both marketable and profitable.
  • Participating in the Product Governance (Product Approval Process)
  • Supporting the Connected Care and Technical Excellence teams as they design and implement various medical claims cost containment initiatives.
  • Design product features that impact customer behaviour as a way to better control medical cost (i.e. steerage)
  • Supporting the LBU Pricing and Actuarial Teams as they develop and implement health-related pricing initiatives (i.e. Risk Based Pricing)
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in actuarial analysis, performance management and financial service industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights for decision making.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement performance management strategies and initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in healthcare management, analytics, fraud, waste, and abuse detection
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing and coding practices, reimbursement, methodologies and regulatory requirements.
