Description

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, policies, and protocols to ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in civil construction projects.

Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements.

Manage field engineering activities, including site inspections, quality audits, and material testing, to verify compliance with design and construction standards.

Oversee non-destructive evaluation (NDE) processes, including ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and visual inspections, to assess structural integrity and identify defects or deficiencies.

Lead and coordinate QA/QC inspection activities throughout the construction lifecycle, from pre-construction planning to project completion, to ensure quality standards are met at every stage.

Collaborate with project management teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets that incorporate QA/QC requirements and objectives.

Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors on QA/QC-related matters, including interpretation of specifications and resolution of quality issues.

Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify quality concerns, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Manage documentation and record-keeping processes related to QA/QC activities, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance certificates.

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, architects, clients, and regulatory authorities, to ensure alignment on QA/QC objectives, requirements, and expectations.

Requirements

Minimum Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

At least 5 years of relevant QAQC experience in the civil construction industries

Proficiency in reading and interpreting structural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Experience managing field engineering, inspection, and NDE activities in a construction environment.

Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager, Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
