What the role is

What you will be working on

  • You will assist programme leads with coordination of programme strategy; planning and management of resources; tracking of deliverables, development of collaborations and agreements; and communication of research outcomes to a variety of stakeholders. This will require you to work effectively not only with EHI colleagues and collaborators, but also with other departments in NEA and across government agencies.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Conduct and drive proactive engagement of community partners e.g. Advisers, GRLs, community volunteers, residents, and NEA public health officers
  • Develop and execute marketing and communications strategies to get buy in from the public and stakeholders
  • Develop content for stakeholder engagement, e.g. pamphlets, website, social media content, videos, infographics
  • Manage branding and media profiling of EHI
  • Strengthen EHI's partnerships with local and international research institutions and public health agencies
  • Coordinate EHI's internal and external capacitybuilding activities
  • Plan and coordinate Learning Journeys and visits to EHI's research facilities
  • Manage feedback from stakeholders and public
  • Support procurement, invoicing and billing processes

What we are looking for

  • The job might be for you if you possess the following qualities:
  • Work or research experience in public health-related fields will be an advantage
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Interest or experience in communicating scientific concepts to a variety of audiences, with a knack for presenting complex information in an accessible manner
  • Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiar with digital content creation
  • Knowledge and skills in Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premier Pro) will be an advantage
  • Strong working knowledge of editorial processes, copyediting, design, photography, photoediting and videoediting will be preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders and partners
  • Experience in community engagement or social service or customer service work, organising conferences, workshops and events
  • Detailoriented and able to multitask
  • Able to work independently and as a team in a dynamic environment
  • Able to work outside regular working hours (on weekends or after office hours) to perform community engagement work
