Description
Makes recommendations for incorporating energy storage opportunities in projects with a renewable generation asset.
Provides engineering design support and addresses all technical project requirements involving energy storage systems.
Makes recommendations and advises on system development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
Performs risk assessments and analyses employing modelling and simulation techniques.

Provides systems engineering to specify renewable energy requirements and identifies issues and approaches for integration with distribution and transmission grid systems.

Contribute to planning of and implementing installation visits.
Works closely with renewable system engineer(s) to develop layout, output, O&M, and interconnection requirements.
Develop and deliver schedule and project updates and key decision briefs.


Position Requirements:

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience. Direct experience within energy storage industry would be preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or any related majors from an accredited university.
Experience with energy management systems and scada are preferred.
Experience with using software such as Homer Energy, SAM and PVSyst are preferred.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of energy storage systems, including battery technologies, charging infrastructure and grid integration solutions.
Demonstrate technical advice and consultation to customers, addressing technical queries and concerns effectively.
Demonstrate analytical skills in studying load data from clients and sizing an energy storage system.
Requires strong interpersonal skills to provide leadership to collaborate and work with diverse team.

Requires strong communication skills to provide clearly and succinctly recurring and adhoc project updates and synthesizing information for key decision briefs.

Previous experience performing engineering, technical, and managerial direction energy problem definition, requirements identification, analysis, and implementation of energy system solutions.

Previous experience self-driving complex projects independently and on larger project teams involving engineering and analytical studies while working in a team-oriented environment.
