The Business Development and Partnerships teams at Shopee are dynamic and energetic, always seeking new business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The primary goal of these teams is to offer Shopee's buyers a diverse range of product listings at competitive prices. Explore our current openings within the Business Development and Partnerships team and discover how you can contribute to our success.
- Advocate for Shopee to onboard merchants across different business models, such as Shopee's marketplace and logistics arm (Shopee Xpress)
- Manage the entire acquisition process from lead generation to store set-up, including face-to-face pitches and negotiations
- Identify market gaps through trend analysis and competitor research to enhance Shopee's market position
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a recognized university or polytechnic
- Demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving
- Positive, team-oriented, and enthusiastic demeanor
- Display an entrepreneurial mindset and take ownership of tasks
- Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for building partner relationships
- Comfortable with data analysis, proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus
- Prior experience in e-commerce is beneficial
- Knowledge of industries like FMCG, Fashion, Lifestyle, or Electronics is a bonus
- Prefer full-time interns (3-6 months commitment)
- Part-time interns (minimum 3 working days per week) are also encouraged to apply
