- To maintain or improve workplace safety and health in the workplaces assigned and prevent accident from happening.
- Lead the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) function for the entire plant, ensuring compliance with local legislations and standards.
- Develop HSE Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and analytical reports to monitor safety data and promote safety awareness programs.
- Conduct investigations, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify and address unsafe behavior and equipment/processes.
- Deliver safety principles through meetings and training sessions, and stay updated on health and safety protocols.
- Create safety plans with infrastructure and process improvements, ensuring consistency in safety standards across the production team and company.
- Meet company health and safety goals and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Investigate incidents/accidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and other investigators during serious accidents.
- Review and report on staff and contractors' compliance with health and safety rules, recommending commendations or dismissals.
- Conduct monthly Safety & Health committee meetings and inspections.
- Assist in emergency response planning and respond to HSE incidents.
- Conduct training programs, briefings, and inspections to ensure compliance with safety policies and standards.
- Enforce safety standards in accordance with regulations.
- Assist in safety-related certifications, audits, and awareness programs.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory changes in safety guidelines.
- May be required to travel locally to other distribution centres/warehouses.
- A recognized diploma course or bachelor's degree related to environmental and occupational health and safety.
- Register as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Singapore's Ministry of Manpower for at least 5 years.
- At least 5 to10 years of relevant experience in WSH for manufacturing/commercial/warehousing industry
- Preferably with FSM certification
- Possess a minimum Diploma in Environment, Health and Safety Management or related field
- Excellent people management skills and good interpersonal skills
- Proven experience in Workplace Safety & Health Management
