    Roles & Responsibilities

    Performance Motors Limited (PML), a Sime Darby Motors Company, endeavours to be the undisputed leader in the automobile industry. As the dealer of BMW cars and motorcycles in Singapore since 1979, Performance Motors has been synonymous with performance and sheer driving pleasure.

    • Study vehicle repair history and ensure Workshop Manager and Senior Motor Claim Advisor are informed of any unusual or repeated complaint.
    • Write out, in-accordance with the individual vehicle diagnosis, individual work orders with the job item numbers, job specification and flat rate specifications.
    • Confirm with customer that our records of their personal particulars are correct. Update history file and GDMS if there is a change.
    • Conduct Vehicle Reception Check with reception checklist in the presence of customer for all cars brought in for body and paintwork repairs.
    • Advise customers of the best method to pursue their insurance claims from a few insurance claims option available.
    • Negotiate with surveyor / insurance companies to get the best labour charge.
    • Promote the sale of workshop capacity by offering special services.
    • Promote the sale of parts and accessories.
    • Verify job contents and check vehicle exterior body for dents, scratches in the presence of customer.
    • Prepare accurate accident repair estimate and provide supplementary estimate necessary.
    • Advise estimated repair cost for work to be done, ask for authorisation budget on additional job.
    • Obtain customer signature on work order and advise them on the accepted mode of payment (cash / credit card).
    • Add jobs with customer's approval or within customer agreed budget; key add jobs into GDMS and inform workshop foreman / workshop planner accordingly.
    • Communicate with workshop foreman on the repair status, observe promised deadline.
    • Conduct final check on vehicle cleanliness, verify job completion after end control.
    • Inform customer that the vehicle is ready for collection, the repair cost and collection time.
    • Decide appropriate goodwill decision for request that falls under the normal frame work.
    • Refer to Workshop Manager and or Senior Motor Claim Advisor for assistance if help is required addressing the customer needs.
    • Personalise vehicle delivery after repair to the customer including explaining the repair invoice to customer; inform the customer of any outstanding matter, for instance jobs required to be done on next visit or parts on order if any.
    • Maintain the Body and Paint reception area neat and tidy.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Business Administration
    • At least 3-5yrs of working experience as motor claims advisor
    • Experience in motor trade in Body and Paint dept
