    About Venture Building (New Ventures)

    EDB New Ventures is the venture building arm of EDB. Our aim is to support the creation and scaling of high potential new ventures from Singapore to become globally leading businesses. To do so, we are spearheading novel ways of partnering companies for their corporate venturing journeys and supporting established global founders as they build their next ventures from Singapore. This includes embarking on joint venture building sprints alongside partner corporates / global founders, co-investment to risk-share early-stage growth of high potential ventures and active portfolio value creation support to scale each venture. We are also building founder platforms that foster greater exchanges between founders and accelerate growth of high potential ventures.

    We are looking for a Manager to join our New Ventures team to support the community and marketing strategy and execution for our venturing efforts for corporates and high-potential founders. This role includes community programming, events management and operations, brand communications, media relations, partnerships, and content and digital marketing. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams across EDB's international offices in key markets, to translate our work into business outcomes.

    [What you will be working on]

    Community Programming

    • Support member onboarding and maintenance of members database across digital and physical platforms and channels.
    • Track and analyse community performance metrics, through both primary (feedback surveys, 1-1 or focus group sessions) and secondary sources (platform analytics on activity levels, tracking event attendance).
    • Manage and support digital platforms, including developing and maintaining content such as community resources, channelling member specific requests to relevant stakeholders, basic troubleshooting on technical issues (and redirecting to relevant experts if necessary).

    Events Management and Operations

    • Founder identification, to research high potential founders for invitation to premium industry events.
    • Support the events and partnerships strategy, including partner/vendor assessment, events logistics and evaluation post event AARs.
    • Support the planning and execution of events, including shaping programming, RSVP coordination, venue and F&B selection, and on-site support.
    • Track and analyse events and partnerships performance metrics.

    Content Development and Maintenance

    • Support end-to-end communications initiatives to drive New Ventures brand ensuring key message delivery, such as press releases for project announcements, speeches.
    • Support development and maintenance of content for digital and social channels for EDB's New Ventures efforts (e.g. eDMs, website, LinkedIn posts, etc).
    • Implement content amplification and optimisation efforts, working with EDB's Digital and Social Media Marketing team to amplify assets through owned and other channels to reach target audiences, and refine content distribution based on data such as customer insights and digital performance metrics.

    [What we are looking for]

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role for community and / or marketing, preferably from a Venture Capital or accelerator firm.
    • Demonstrated track record of planning and supporting corporate events from end-to-end.
    • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring key milestones are met
    • Excellent track record in at least 2 of the following:
      • Experience in supporting digital community set-ups, preferably on Slack.
      • Experience in events management from planning to execution.
      • Experience in content marketing, with strong ability to ideate fresh content ideas and shape content across distinct channels.
      • Experience in digital marketing campaigns which involve managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, paid social (LinkedIn) and/or display advertising campaigns.
    • A strong interest and passion for corporate innovation and/or start-up creation - you understand how the community and marketing activities you develop will engage and benefit the target audiences.
    • Possess the following attributes and skillsets:

    • Background in a relevant field such as marketing and communications, or journalism preferred but not a pre-requisite.
    • Experience with digital image editing and video production preferred, but not a requisite.
