    Description

    Role and Responsibilities

    • To carry out in vitro research on tocotrienols/phytonutrients/oleochemicals for various human health applications
    • To conduct human clinical trials with institutions
    • Publish scientific manuscripts in international journals
    • Work closely with fellow researchers in the R&D for effective project implementation
    • Make presentation on projects within and outside the company
    • Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment
    • Perform inventory update for laboratory consumables and trial materials
    • Perform general maintenance of the lab facilities
    • To build up in-house database of research results of tocotrienols and other necessary products
    • Any other tasks/projects as assigned to you by the Head of Biological Research from time to time.


    Job Success Requirements

    • B.Sc or Master in Biology/Biological Sciences/Biomedical Sciences or equivalents with at least 3 to 5 years working experience
    • Have extensive bench work experience in biological research in mammalian cell culture, genomic & proteomic analysis. The lab techniques require including qPCR, cDNA microarray, western blotting, ELISA assay, flow cytometry, fluorescence imaging
    • Preferably the candidate has knowledge and prior experience in clinical trial management and coordination
    • Proven publication record in international scientific peer-reviewed journals
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and uses data to generate ideas and develop solutions
    • Have thorough understanding & fundamental concepts in biology and pharmacology for experimental troubleshooting & optimization
    • Be highly motivate, independent and present strong interest in a fast-paced environment
    • Competent in Microsoft Office, bibliography software (Endnote or Mendeley), GraphPad Prism, SPSS or other analytical tools.
    • Proficient in both spoken and written English
