We are looking for a
PMO (Lead for Project Management Organization) to join our Neste Engineering team in Singapore.

We have a team of around 30 experts working at NES. Our team is responsible for executing a variety of investment, maintenance & turnaround projects for Neste.


Position in the organization:

Reports to :
Manager Engineering Solutions

Managing :
Scheduler, Project Managers, Project Cost Controller

Objective :

To lead the team of project managers and project control functions and its operations as well as the implementation of the team's action plan.


Your part in Neste journey
In this role, your main responsibilities include

  • To build a fit for purpose Project Management Office Team to serve Neste projects in Singapore
  • To lead and manage the performance and competence of team members
  • To conduct people processes efficiently and with high quality.
  • To cooperate proactively to enable the successful flow of the project work.
  • To develop processes, ways of working and tools globally together with colleagues in Finland and Netherlands
  • To enable, promote and proactively support integration and cooperation of Neste Engineering Solutions and Neste Renewable Products business units in all project, work process, administrative and personnel related issues in Singapore.
  • To continuously develop own expertise and invest time in developing and coaching others with making use of the Neste Leadership model.
  • To support the Engineering Solutions Manager in executing projects according to PIPE model and common way of working.
  • To act as Solution Development Manager (phases before definition phase); think along strategically about resources, planning, feasibility study and project execution.

Functional competences:


  • Leadership and people management skills.
  • Project scheduling skills
  • Possesses a general understanding of contract administration, business principals and business law
  • Effective communication skills in English (mandatory) both verbally and in writing
  • PMO Lead is expected to work very independently, collaborating closely and networking easily with the project organization in other Neste locations as well

Keys to success in this role is to have proven experience of at least 10 to 15 years in similar jobs and/or EPCM environment. The best combination of experiences, skills and background is

  • Degree in Engineering or similar education is a must.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 t0 15 years in similar jobs, preferable also inside the fence of industrial clients.
  • Strong focus on project delivery skills, developing new ways of working and driving change are close to your heart.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities and respond to client needs, network easily with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory), other languages are an advantage.
  • Strong selfleadership skills, handson mentality and desire to further develop in your role and grow with the team.
  • Understanding of the challenges and complexities of a startup business in an international environment is a bonus
