    We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, CDD.

    Principal Responsibilities

  • The role is integral to the execution of the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) process for high risk rated customers
  • The job holder must demonstrate strong KYC CDD and financial crime/anti money laundering knowledge but also be invested in the building up of knowledge within the WPB KYC team
  • The role holder will also be responsible for team performance outcomes, providing clear guidance to the WPB Business Approvers relating to KYC case approvals and interface with 1st and 2nd LOD on risk review & audit findings and escalations as required
  • Manage the performance of Management Information (MI) metrics, agreed KPIs and (internal) customer feedback
  • Develop and recommend changes and improvements to operating models, procedures and practices based on subject matter expertise and understanding of HSBC and market best practice
  • The role holder will possess excellent influencing skills and the initiative to proactively forge strong stakeholder relationships
  • Experience in managing a team of CDD managers
  • Be a key driver in the implementation of Financial Crime Risk. Working with FCRM & KYC Ops colleagues to ensure that the highest standards are maintained with minimal loss/reputational damage
  • Manage and escalate risks and issues relevant to activities allocated as appropriate
  • Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or with equivalent industry/functional experience - Professional FCR certification ( ACAMS, ICTA) will be considered favourably
  • Functional experience needs to be minimum of 2 years' experience in reviewing customer risk profiles to ensure they meet the AML/Sanctions/KYC requirements
  • Prior Experience in working on High Risk, Special Category Client, High Net worth customer profiles and/or similar Enhanced Due Diligence related roles Account Opening is an added advantage
  • Good business and operational experience – Quality candidates are likely to have strong relationship management, Risk or operational skills and are 'Change-Friendly'
  • Min 3 years in banking frontline or related experience ( CD/ AML/ KYC), inclusive of a minimum 2 years as a People Manager
  • Knowledge & Experience of KYC / AML Regulations and Compliance requirements as required locally
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including strong telephone skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral & written) in English
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills and computer literacy (including Xcel and ppt skills)
  • Methodical and organized, a lateral thinker with well-developed time management skills
  • Strong decision making skills and proven ability to manage own time
  • A self-starter who is able to work under minimal supervision and takes initiative in dealing with day-to-day challenges and issues
