    Roles & Responsibilities

    Purpose of the Job

    This role is responsible for performance management, budgetary control and cost analysis across the Commerical business sectors. To provide support to the Global Head of each sector as well as the Commercial Finance Manager in matters relating to the global Commercial Sector.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Preparation and review of the AET Commercial sector monthly financials and forecasts, providing analysis of performance (by cost centers, divisions and/or business areas) & identifying potential issues/areas of concerns throughout the month.
    • Coordination of the monthly forecast process for the AET Commercial sector with the various stakeholders.
    • Preparation of monthly reports and deliverables (i.e. KPI) in conjunction with the monitoring, measurement and forecasting of business performance.
    • Providing support (i.e. running analysis) and insights to assist the decision making process of the AET Commercial sector
    • Identifying possible risks and threats & proposing actions to prevent adverse variances to plan
    • Supporting and coordinating the annual budgeting process for the AET Commercial sector including liaising with the respective business heads, establishing targets, providing guidance and challenging the assumptions where necessary.
    • Providing ad hoc analysis and support, business modelling and analysis of key business issues, projects and proposals
    • Providing analytical support, management reporting and deliverables for the Commercial Sector Heads as required
    • Being part of a value-adding Planning and Finance team that is actively identifying areas for process improvements, and working on initiatives to streamline processes, contributing to the efficient reporting, planning and analysis process within the organization.
    • To comply with Company's policies and Code of Conduct and Business Ethics (CoBE)
    • Any other duties and projects as assigned from time to time

    Qualifications

    • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Math, Business, or related field
    • Professional Certification: CPA, CIMA, ACCA an advantage
    • Experience:
    • 3-5 years' experience in a financial planning & analysis and/or decision support role
    • Specialized knowledge:
    • Good working knowledge of the financial drivers of the shipping/tanker business
    • Exposure to decision support in a commercial organization
    • Strong knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables and advance formulas) and financial modelling
    • Experience working with and analyzing large data sets
    • Proficient in other MS applications including Word, PowerPoint and Access
    • Ability to prioritize work and keep focused on key deliverables to tight deadlines
