    Job Description

    As the organisation's Sustainability Champion, the successful candidate will coordinate, organise and report on SIA Group's sustainability initiatives while ensuring regulatory compliance. The candidate will join the Sustainability Office in SIA Corporate Planning division and strive to elevate SIA's Sustainability performance. The successful candidate should exhibits proficiency at least 1 of the following areas:

    1. Voluntary carbon credits and Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA)
    2. Sustainability Communications
    3. Environmental Management System (EMS)
    4. Sustainable Procurement / Supply Chain Resilience

    Key Responsibilities
    For role (1), the successful candidate will be required to undertake the following tasks:

    Monitor CORSIA Eligible Units market development

  • Enhance the SIA Group Voluntary Carbon Offset Programme and engage stakeholders
  • Develop appropriate sourcing strategies for voluntary and compliance carbon credit and support Communication efforts
  • Onboard stakeholders and conduct Carbon Credit related training
  • Experience in the functioning of voluntary and compliance Carbon market is required for role (1)
  • For role (2), the successful candidate will be required to undertake the following tasks:

  • Support and harmonise Sustainability communication efforts across internal stakeholders
  • Support engagement with stakeholders to explain our Sustainability focus and ambition
  • Conduct Sustainability communication related best practices training in line with developing industry guidance on Sustainability communication
  • For role (3), the successful candidate will be required to undertake the following tasks:

  • Support internal stakeholders with existing ISO14001:2015 EMS recertification and conduct EMS-related training
  • Review Environment management practices, and implement the Airline-centric IATA Environmental Assessment (IEnvA) programme
  • Develop implementation roadmap to embed IEnvA Standards across businesses to manage our environmental impacts and compliance obligations
  • For role (4), the successful candidate will be required to undertake the following tasks:

  • Administer the SIA Supplier Code of Conduct (SCOC) procurement policy
  • Review and enhance Supply Chain and Procurement sustainability management practices through benchmarking research and interviews
  • Develop implementation roadmap to embed Sustainable Procurement / Supply Chain Resilience best practices and support Communication efforts
  • Onboard new stakeholders and conduct Sustainable Procurement related training
  • General Responsibilities could include combination of the following:

  • Support annual Sustainability Report production
  • Support Business Units led sustainability initiatives
  • General Requirements

  • University Degree, preferably with areas related to sustainability such as Environmental / Climate Science or Communications
  • Knowledge in environment and climate change, carbon footprint, energy efficiency
  • Strong Project and Stakeholder Management and skills with the ability to manage conflicting stakeholders' requirement
  • Strong analytical and IT skills, good writing and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Sustainability reporting standards (e.g. ISSB, GRI, SASB etc.) and the UN Sustainable Development Goals
