Job Purpose


The Housekeeper Supervisor is responsible in managing the entire housekeeping operations and team on a daily basis to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Supervise housekeeping staff, preparing schedules, assigning duties and providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Inspect work performed by the housekeeping staff and provide feedback.
  • Maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies, coordinating or ordering replacements and equipment repair.
  • Respond to guests' requests, inquiries and manage lost and found.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is performed at all times.
  • Maintain high level of hygiene, health and safety by adhering to Company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Facilitate housekeeping staff training on standard operating procedures, safety policies and health/sanitation regulations.
  • Inspect premises, common area and/or guest rooms to ensure compliance to Company procedures and health/sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure that a detailed daily log is maintained for any incidents and shifts handover.
  • Performs other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.

Communication & Working Relationships

  • Communicates professionally with superiors and subordinates while keeping a productive working environment
  • Trains and coach Housekeeping staff on personal and workrelated hygiene, cleaning techniques and skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Hospitality Management degree with an emphasis on hygiene and safety
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar positions preferably in 5 stars hotel
  • Good in English
  • Computer knowledge
  • Excellent communications skills

  • Highly cooperative team spirit

  • Positive and energy level
  • Ability to work safely in a fastpaced kitchen environment

**Physical Requirements of the job

The job of the Housekeeping Supervisor may require:

  • Long hours, covering different shifts and working during public holidays
  • Physical handling of products such as handling objects up to 25 kilograms
  • Stressful conditions
