Macquarie Capital Equities is a leading provider of Algorithmic Trading services in ANZ and all Asian equity markets. The service is used extensively by major global institutional clients as well as internal Program Trading / Cash trading desks. Macquarie Algos are largely quant driven and highly customized to meet client needs. The Algos are monitored and controlled by internal UIs that help highlight exceptions and allow traders to control the behaviour of the Algos.

We are seeking a senior UI developer to lead our Electronic Trading Monitoring Front ends. The role involves maintain our existing C# Applications and developing our new UI architecture using microservices and web frameworks. The developer would be part of our high-performing algo development team based in Sydney / Hong Kong with a focus on maintaining and developing trader front-end tools.

We are looking for a technically strong engineer with a passion for developing rich front ends that can help users navigate lot of real time data while alerting on the information that needs attention. The successful candidate will join a technical team who enjoy using technology to service client needs and take pride in moving the technical platform forward.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Electronic trading UI development team of 3 developers.

Understand the existing Algo Monitoring UI, FIX Client onboarding System while defining the Electronic UI strategy going forward.

Work together with the Algo developers in the region to understand the platform and what data is important for monitoring electronic trading.

Demonstrate innovation in defining solutions and implementing them to completion. Coding is mostly in C# on existing application and Java/JS for the new platform. Experience with one of the UI frameworks - Angular / React is desirable.

Agile development - TDD / Unit tests, Code Reviews.

Engage with other teams (QA/Compliance/Middle Office/Support/) as and when required

Provide Level 2 support for production systems Experience Required:

10+ years hands on development experience ideally within capital markets with exposure to real time trading front ends.

C# front end development

Experience with Web frameworks and microservices architecture

Experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms is desirable About the Corporate Operations Group
