Job Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy of the hotel.

This position involves building relationships with key clients and partners, identifying new business opportunities, and creating and implementing sales plans.

The Senior/Sales Manager should have strong communication and negotiation skills, be highly organized, and have the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy of the hotel.
  • Build relationships with key clients and partners, and maintain regular contact to ensure repeat business; foster and develop relationship with existing clients and customers to maintain loyalty. Manage leads and enquiries and provide suitable solutions promptly
  • Identify new business opportunities and develop new markets for the hotel; acquire new sales leads/ prospects and establish new accounts to grow account/ client base
  • Review account portfolio regularly and present to management to provide analysis on performance of each account and forward action plans
  • Oversee the selling, servicing and followup of group businesses and monitor competitor activities and conduct market research.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify potential new revenue streams.
  • Create and implement sales plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Prepare and present sales reports to the management team on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure sales initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Attend industry events to represent the hotel and network with potential clients and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and rates with clients and partners to maximize revenue and occupancy of the hotel.
  • Daytoday sales activities include telemarketing, sales calls, hotel visits, entertainment, virtual presentations etc.
  • Follow up with clients whose payments are outstanding and long overdue
  • Provide aftersales service and to ensure all guests feedback is brought to the management's attention and communicate with the relevant departments if necessary for proper handling. Ensure that all complaints are reviewed, investigated and followup action is initiated.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
  • At least 25 years of experience in hotel sales management, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a sales team
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fastpaced environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to monitor and analyze market trends to identify potential new revenue streams.
  • Familiarity with hotel industry trends and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of Opera System; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
