POSITION PURPOSE:


A Subject Matter Expert function on ALMT Business (Asset Liability Management & Treasury.) located Onshore in Singapore, within P&L to guarantee the timely and accuracy delivery of P&L on a daily basis by Offshore & support the business in every locations.

On top of there will be project handling. (like LIBOR, harmonization of practices within locations)


Considering the recent nearshore / offshore initiatives, it has become more important to define transversal roles serving as an oversight, reinforcing best practices across locations and acting as point of escalation to resolve any issue or concern as soon as possible.

The person will report directly to the Asia of P&L & Valuation for Global Markets.


Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities
Providing daily support to and monitoring the daily and End-Of-Month P&L deliveries, including Official P&L, Step reval and Risk-Based P&L explains

  • Coordinating efforts required from P&L Production to answer queries received from P&L Management, Management Controls or other stakeholders
- from first 2 points, to put in implement concretely the governance SME/ ISPL in collaboration with


SG management & ISPL

  • Supervision of a second SME for ALMT.
  • Acting as Point of escalation for P&L production supervisors as well as key stakeholders (e.g. Business, Finance, Risk)
  • Preparing and organizing trainings for ISPL whenever needed: Recurrent issues/ incidents/ Risk awareness session
  • Being involved as expert for projects affecting global Markets business lines, participating in testing and validation of changes
  • Facilitating the implementation of additional controls on the back of audit or regulatory requirements
  • Participating to the maintenance, review and prioritization of issue resolutions affecting P&L batches.
  • Communicate on a weekly on your workload and pain points.

Contributing Responsibilities

TECHNICAL & BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:


  • Good understanding of ALMT Business ( minimum 4 years on this Business as a P&L analyst or Risk analyst)
  • Good understanding of Pricing/ Profit & Loss methodology
  • Open to the others, ability to influence, good communications skills

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS (IF REQUIRED):


  • Material prior experience working in some control function within an investment bank in an international environment, including the management of managers or sizeable teams
  • A Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Economics or hard science
  • A Master's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or hard science would be a plus
  • Good experience in project management as, in some instance, the person will be requested to take part in projects would be a plus
  • Indepth knowledge / understanding of financial instruments as well as FronttoBack chains
  • Good theoretical knowledge of derivative pricing
  • Working experience with P&L explains (Step Revaluation as well as Risk Based Explains) and good knowledge / understanding of risk factors (the "Greeks")
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Control oriented mindset
  • Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
