Job Overview
The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with work, health and safety (WHS) guidelines in a workplace.

They play an important role in promoting a safe working environment by advising on safety measures, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative measures.

The safety officer will also act as a Management Representative in all WSH and ISO related matters.

Responsibilities and Duties

Represent management to review WSH implementation.
Conduct safety inspection/audits to identify hazards and safety gaps at the workplace.
Conduct/Review site incident investigation and able to identify root causes.
Liaise with government agencies, insurance, auditors, and sites safety officers on safety related matters.
Work with consultants to achieve WSH best practices recognition & ISO certification.
Organize and establish the stakeholder's WSH Committee Meeting.
Attend critical work planning meetings/review.
Conduct regular staff & toolbox meetings to share best practice techniques.
Regularly inspect equipment and work site.
Review and advise on Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and any related QEHS documents.
Assist in PTW submission.
Act as Management Representative to ensure that the ISO (45001, 9001 & processes are established, implemented, and maintained.
Dormitory Management: assist to manage dormitory related agreements, complete administration for workers checking in and out of dormitory, coordinate with dormitory operator to ensure maintenance, cleanliness and security of the dormitory
