Job Scope of Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager oversees to it that all functions are executing their tasks according to their respective plans to support and complete these goals for the organization:
a) Introduce new products successfully meeting customers' expectations during New Product Introduction (NPI) phase

b) Resolve engineering issues to meet the quality and throughput of products during Current Product Engineering (CPE) phase

c) Support the customers do a last time build during product obsolescence phase

The Engineering Manager is required to work with various functional teams to implement and manage the manufacturing activities to meet goals that include cost, quality, time to market, cycle time, and product reliability.

The functional teams would include our internal organization, customers, manufacturing partners, and suppliers. Adopting data based Lean Manufacturing would be beneficial in eliminating waste and redundancies. Knowledge required would include Kaizen, Gemba Walk, Statistical Quality Control, Value Stream Mapping, etc.

The Engineering Manager is required to support various internal functions to achieve seamless connectivity (which may include manual interaction) across the various IT systems namely:
a) Finance / MRP system

b) Shopfloor system

c) Warehouse management system

d) Purchasing system

As the team will continuously develop the skills to meet our customers' diverse product families, the Engineering Manager would need to leverage resources across the board and maintain the flexibility required.

Hence the Engineering Manager would need to be a strong leader who can communicate effectively and adopt a continuous learning mindset.

Health and Safety

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards.
• Ensure that service delivery teams and manufacturing team undergo a Health and Safety Induction prior to deployment.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 8 years working experience.
• Experience in contract management, implementation of production procedures, budgeting, tenders, risk and safety work practices and procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of local health and safety regulations is essential.
• Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and / or compliance officers is required

Operation management experience.
