Roles and Responsibilities

  • Driving of Prime mover
  • Transport containers or loose cargo from one location to another location
  • Perform basic equipment checks i.e. scratches or dents on vehicle
  • Able to understand basic English as briefings and communications with terminal are conducted in English
  • Able to understand simple / basic computer knowledge i.e. interact with touch screen computer installed within the Prime Mover (PMPC)
  • Ability to follow location instruction issued from Port's Control Centre (via PMPC)
  • Able to differentiate different types of containers
  • Attention to details, especially when matching container serial number with PMPC
  • Practice "Safe Work Procedure" (SWP) such as driving safely within port premises
  • Have basic knowledge of traffic rules / road signs

Requirements:


  • Always stay alert as the port is surrounded with heavy machinery
  • Completed Primary School Education (Minimum a pass in PSLE English)
  • Experience not required
  • Driving License not required but advantageous
  • Training provided by PSA University

Salary:
$2, $4,000.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Night shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • 13th month salary
  • Overtime pay
  • Performance bonus

License/Certification:

  • Class 2 / Class 3 Driving Licence (required)
