In this role, you will be a member of a support unit within the Digitalisation and IT group that makes up of customer fronting and supporting officers (users).

The users, especially sales officers who serve customers in Singtel Exclusive Retailers shops, rely heavily on systems to deliver fast and quality service in this dynamic and challenging telecom environment.

As such, you will be playing an important role in ensuring that these IT components work efficiently and effectively for the users.


Job Scope for Dealer Helpdesk Engineer


This job will oversee the technical infrastructure to ensure a smooth and seamless sales operations in our Singtel Exclusive Retailer Shop (SERs).


The day to day responsibility encompass the following:

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, network, printers and scanners


  • Application Administrator Support

  • Password registration/ resets / removal of various systems
  • Maintenance of phone pricing plan and model into interfacing systems
  • Provide technical support across the various Singtel Exclusive Retailers
  • Oversee Dealer network infrastructure and systems functionality (e.g. opening of firewall, granting of network access, trouble shooting of network errors, routers)
  • Domain controller management (periodic backup of information) and oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g., user authorization, firewall rules housekeeping)
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests raised by various sales partners
  • Collaborate with internal IT staff and external vendors to assess, design, and implement the solution and new technologies as well as support end users on projects and system enhancements by understanding business users' requirements
  • Control costs and budgets regarding IT systems and Assets
  • Manage contracts with vendors and software licenses for McAfee and Microsoft

Requirements:


  • Diploma in Computer Science or IT related disciplines, and with at least 1 2 years relevant experience
  • CCNA certification will be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge in Android and iOS
  • Customeroriented with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take stress and multitask
  • Analytical and organised, with the ability to plan and schedule
  • Team player who can also work independently
  • Keenness in maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies
