    About Our ClientOur client is an international school based in Singapore, known for its solid IT network operations.

    They're in search of a Head of IT to oversee and manage their IT operations in Singapore, ensuring smooth operations.

    Job DescriptionEstablish and enforce policies for technology use promoting responsible decision-making.
    Contribute to innovative learning space development during campus upgrades.
    Lead IT team in implementing and supporting digital strategy initiatives.
    Drive research and development of new digital platforms and systems.
    Promote technology's educational role through community engagement.
    Ensure compliance with data protection policies and provide staff training, while managing and implementing change management processes.


    User Policies:
    Establish and enforce user policies for technology use promoting responsible decision-making, ensuring adherence to data protection and security protocols

    Network and Systems Infrastructure:
    Ensure that network and systems infrastructure aligns with established policies and supports educational objectives, optimizing performance and security

    IT Purchasing and Vendor Relations:
    Engage with vendors to procure technology solutions that comply with policies, support digital strategy initiatives, and contribute to educational innovation

    IT Support and Asset Management:
    Implement support and asset management processes that align with policies, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues and optimal utilization of resources

    Managing Technology and Support Resources:
    Allocate technology resources effectively to support digital strategy initiatives, promoting innovation while adhering to policies and compliance requirements

    Change Management:


    Implement change management processes to ensure smooth transitions in technology usage, while providing staff training and ensuring compliance with policies, especially regarding data protection.


    The Successful ApplicantLeadership and Technical Experience:
    At least 5 years of experience in managing international school IT operations

    Technical Proficiency:
    Strong working knowledge of current IT technologies, including databases, networking, and project management skills, with a focus on Apple environments such as MacOS and iPad deployment in a 1:1 environment

    Team Management:
    Ability to build, mentor, and provide direction to IT teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

    Resourcefulness and Relationship Building:
    Resourceful individual with a quick learning ability to adapt to diverse IT environments and build effective relationships across organizations

    Preferred Qualifications:
    High energy and excellent customer service skills, coupled with deep expertise in educational technology and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment

    Additional Skills:
    Proficiency in Project Management, ITIL aligned frameworks/processes, negotiation skills, integrity, professionalism, lateral thinking, problem-solving abilities, and proactive initiative-taking.
