    Roles & Responsibilities

    Job Description

    • Management, coordination of geotechnical works.
    • Coordinate with QPD and Subcontractor to prepare the shop dwgs for ERSS, IM and GI works.
    • Attend site related issues on ERSS, IM & GI works. It requires further coordination with QPD and AC to regularize.
    • Geotechnical Analysis, Soil Classification, Data analysis and interpretation of instrumentation works.
    • Knowledge and justification about ground improvement type and its functions.
    • Evaluate subcontractor's risk assessment, safe work procedures and method statements.
    • To coordinate and review all the submissions from QPD, Authorities & subcontractors.
    • To review the Geotechnical pile and ERSS design against client's requirements.
    • Reports directly to Design Manager and supports Design team.
    • To coordinate with drafters and ensure all the client's requirement are promptly met.
    • To conduct site inspection from time to time.
    • Geotechnical Analysis, Soil Classification, Data analysis and enterpretation of instrumentation works.
    • Perform geotechnical engineering work from field supervision to data interpretation.
    • Ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which you have responsibility, including drawings.
    • Providing technical knowledge and technical advice to project team members.
    • Supervision of field investigation activities.
    • Collect necessary field data through observation of soil borings and rock cores.
    • Attend weekly instrumentation meeting with QP(S) and prepare reports / minutes of meetings accordingly

    Requirements

    1. Minimum 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience with Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the PE Board or qualification acceptable to the Commissioner of Building Control as eligible for application as a Resident Engineer; or Recognised Degree in the relevant field subject to the acceptance of the Engineer.
    2. Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction supervision for projects of similar scale and complexity.
