**Job Description

  • What you'll do**The Market Risk team is responsible for measuring and managing market risk with Marketing's equity and trading activities. Market Risk team is expected to grow in line with the growing Front Office requirements. This will include the production of a broad set of market risk metrics, regular interaction with Front Office, and to deliver the right message to Senior Management, traders and other parts of the business in a proactive manner.
The Specialist - Market Risk will be the Market Risk Management face to the Singapore-based Front Office, and support the business including analysis, advice and acting as the 2nd line of defence


Performance & Delivery

  • Act as the primary market risk interface into the Singapore front office
  • Ensure trading strategies, including options, are understood
  • Identify market risk issues and provide suitable advice, including limit setting
  • Review marktomarket formulae for physical and financial products
  • Review benchmarks for Equity business
  • Review new deals and products for market risk implications
  • Support the Market Risk Manager in Senior Management meetings
**Qualifications

  • What we're looking for*
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or quantitativerelated
  • Greater than 5 years of professional experience in Risk, preferably in commodities

Specific Knowledge requirements:


  • Expert understanding of market risk concepts, including VaR, liquidity and limit setting
  • Expert knowledge of commodity products, including physical and financial
  • Knowledge of options, both vanilla and exotic
  • Commercial awareness of P&L drivers and strategies in a trading environment
  • Ability to explain and defend technical concepts, in a clear, understandable manner to colleagues and senior managers within the Marketing BU.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines in a trading environment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential
  • Programming ability desirable
