Opening May 2023, Pan Pacific Orchard presents the pinnacle of design by award-winning WOHA, located in Singapore's prime district Orchard Road.


The 23-floor destination hotel redefines the city's landscape with four themed open-air terraces of distinctive design concepts - Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud.


Nestled amidst the Forest Terrace is new signature restaurant Mosella, which will introduce a sharing concept of Mediterranean cuisine with a refreshing Peruvian twist.

The Beach Terrace will bring a resort-like experience to the heart of the city, and above, the Garden Terrace will be home to Florette, the Champagne & Oysters specialty bar.

At the highest levels of the Cloud Terrace, level 18 will house Orchard's highest pillarless ballroom, Claymore Ballroom.

The Role


The Chief Steward is responsible for all aspects of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation of operating equipment at the front and back of restaurant, bar and for events.

He oversees all cleaning activities, both in-house and outsourced to ensure efficiency and high standards of smooth operations in all restaurants, bars and events.

Manages cleaning and resourcing expenses while maintaining consistent and high standards of hygiene and sanitation.


Our Expectations

  • Ensure cleanliness and quality of all operating equipment in all restaurants, bars and event spaces are of a very high standard.
  • Monitor and manage inventory and ensure breakages, pilferages etc are accounted for while maintaining a healthy par inventory level to support operations.
  • Periodic review of operations flow to maximize productivity and for seamless operations.
  • Recommend, review and monitor effectiveness and efficiency of outsourced contractor.
  • Keep abreast and updated of latest trends and technology to enhance the cleaning and sanitation capability of the stewarding function.
  • Work close with Purchasing and recommend fit for purpose cleaning equipment and cleaning products. Monitor use and effectiveness of equipment and cleaning products for enhance performance and/or solutioning.
  • Work closely with Hygiene Manager to conduct regular audits to ensure attainment and/or maintenance of sanitation standards by private certification bodies e.g. HACCP or government regulatory requirements. Ensure all standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Identify training needs of Associates and conduct briefing and/or training to equip them with necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Schedule rosters for all associates in the Stewarding Department and ensure that manpower is used efficiently.
  • Supervise and coach associates and equip them with the necessary skills to complete the required tasks based on the set standards.
Talent Profile

  • A highly adaptable Stewarding Manager/Assistant Stewarding Manager of a large hotel with experience in high volume banqueting with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent eye for details
  • Handson experience in managing diverse relationships, and teams as well as local communities.
  • An excellent people manager with ability to motivate and build effective teams.
  • Certified with WSQ Conduct Food and Beverage Hygiene Audit, Advanced Food Hygiene and HACCP.
  • Appreciate technology with ability to harness technology to simplify processes and drive automation.
