We are seeking a visionary and experienced Managing Director, Head of Engineering to join one of the leading financial institution to lead their talented engineering team and shape the future of our technology. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, developing and implementing our engineering strategy, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the entire engineering organization, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy aligned with the company's overall business goals.
• Oversee all aspects of the engineering lifecycle, from product ideation and design to development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent across various disciplines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including product, marketing, sales, and operations.
• Champion and implement best practices in software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
• Manage engineering budgets and resources effectively.
• Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs for the engineering team and track progress towards goals.
• Stay current with the latest engineering trends and technologies and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Represent the engineering organization at the executive level and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in technology delivery in financial organizations
• Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing engineering teams with experience in different engineering patterns.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), Agile, SCRUM and Continuous Delivery methodologies.
• Experience in working with cloud native environment such as AWS or Azure Cloud platform
• Experience in developing and implementing engineering strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to attract, recruit, and retain top engineering talent.
