This position has responsibility for leading the optimization of our E2E distribution networks across APAC and to support parallel Global development of E2E Network optimization capabilities and initiatives - from source factory through to final customer delivery location.


This role will steer the design of the connected network of transportation (import/export and domestic freight) and warehousing in each market, integrating with market distribution, Franchise Value Stream and manufacturing source strategies to ensure optimal service, sustainability, supply chain resilience and cost/cash outcomes.


Core responsibilities include:


  • Steering the strategy and program of distribution network optimization initiatives within the APAC region
  • Partnership in the development of Global Network strategies and network modelling capabilities working with Global Supply Chain Excellence team
  • Steer the pivot from functional network initiatives to E2E network optimization centered in enabling commercial distribution plans and franchise growth strategies
  • Ensuring distribution initiatives are fully integrated within E2E Supply Chain network strategies (incorporating manufacturing network, warehousing and transportation), based on a deep understanding of the requirements of each Franchise Value stream and of each market
  • Selection and engagement of external consultants/partners for each network study lead for APAC and support for Global engagements
  • Supporting market/project teams through the execution of network change projects
  • Engagement of 3PL/freight forwarder partners, collaborating closely with Logistics procurement and Deliver operations teams
  • Development of best practice distribution network modelling processes, tools and analytics ensuring these are adaptable to meet the specific needs of different markets and the differentiated attributes of Franchise value chain
  • Strengthening related network modelling and program execution capabilities across Deliver teams in each market and region
  • Annual improvement in Distribution cost % NTS, sustainability and Free cash flow through network optimization
  • NTS growth enabled through network optimisation
  • ROI and projected metric achievement for distribution network change projects
  • Sustainability improvement
  • Demonstrated improvements in network resilience

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Engineering, Logistics, Operations Management, Operations Research/Management Science, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of ten years of general business experience; critically including experience in logistics, supply chain or related areas
  • A minimum of five years experience in roles covering distribution network diagnostics, design and change execution
  • Previous experience managing warehousing and transport operations, inclusive of 3PL management and warehouse transition project experience
  • Proven track record of delivering cost and cash savings plus improvements in supply chain agility, service and sustainability
  • Extensive knowledge of external partner options for network strategy diagnostics and design inclusive of their strengths/weaknesses specific to APAC markets
  • Strong understanding of endtoend Supply Chain and key performance indicators.
  • Good understanding of financial principles is a must; ability to develop compelling business cases
  • Successfully lead multiple large scale / complex projects covering multiple markets
  • Experienced with project management methodologies
  • Strong Customer focused orientation,
  • People management experience; strong leadership/influencing skills.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong analytic skills including proficiency across a range of network modelling tools
  • Extensive knowledge of the 3PL supplier landscape in APAC
  • Experience in relevant FMCG industry, indepth knowledge of the attributes of relevant FMCG customer channels across APAC
