Our client is a growing ship management company and to support its growth strategy and expansion in the Southeast Asia region, our client is hiring a:
Senior Business Development Manager- ASEAN
(Based in Singapore)
ORGANIZATION:
Reporting to the senior management team, you will be responsible to grow the business in Southeast Asia region with a focus on Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam and increase the market share by getting new ships under technical management, crew management, and vessel supervision during new building.
Your key focus will be to develop new business opportunities within the market, with the objective being to further improve and grow the organization's market and brand position in Southeast Asia region.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business Development:
Acquire new customers, manage, and develop existing accounts, and drive growth in the market. Mapping the market for opportunities, establishing a network and active prospection to build business are core to the role.
Sales and Marketing:
Monitor the market developments, support marketing plans and strategies to significantly augment market share in the region. Localize sales cycle policies and process for each country in the region.
Key Account Management:
Manage Key Account relationships and be responsible for promoting positive relations with stakeholders.
Strategy management, Budgeting and Forecast:
Develop growth and long-term strategy for Southeast Asia market.
Assist in the budget planning process and forecasting in close coordination with the management team and translate country sales agenda into bottom line results.
Requirements:
YOUR PROFILE:
- Diploma or degree in any discipline (Navigation or Marine Engineering preferred). Sailing experience as a Master or Chief Engineer in merchant vessels is advantageous.
- Business Development experience working in shipmanagement, chartering, or ship brokering companies would be preferred.
- You have a strong and successful business development/sales management experience of at least 7 years in the marine/shipping industry with a good network with ship owners.
- You have won high value contracts across varied product lines i.e., Bulk Carriers, Containers, Tankers, Dry, New Build projects or marine capital equipments.
- As a talented negotiator, you can build and sell solutions to demanding customers with solid commercial agility.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to influence all levels of stakeholders.
- Good communication is a must since you will work in the regional market and with an international team in the region.
