At the moment we have a vacancy for the permanent position of RCC Operations Manager. Interested? And do you have the necessary experience?

Job description:

An experienced person from marine operations who is open minded and who embraces new technology and new ways of working.

The person will be leading an industry changing transition from sea to shore and will be responsible for building a strong team in the Remote Control Center in close collaboration with the Fleet Management team and the payload operations team.

Main Role

  • Build and implement robust RCC procedures and routines that facilitates the transition from operations at sea to shore;
  • Constantly strive for improvements and more efficient ways of working;
  • Plan and execute cross training of personnel;
  • Identify and build new roles to satisfy the new operational needs of the company;
  • Build and plan for inhouse manning capacity with a view to reduce the use of manning agencies to a minimum;
  • Ensure the RCC operations are well planned and conducted safely and with sufficient redundancy in terms of personnel availability and skillset;
  • Build a truly global operational RCC capability;
  • Work closely with flag state, unions and other stakeholders to drive the legislation and perception of the RCC operations in a desired way.
  • Provides visible guidance and operational leadership for implementing the Ocean Infinity management system consistently with Ocean Infinity policies in all facilities and operations;
  • Participates in and assesses information provided during management reviews, and directs actions to continually improve the management system and reduces risk in the workplace;
  • Meets all management system needs for units/departments (e.g. controls, training, PPE, emergency response, corrective actions, and measures including noncompliance / nonconforming items identified in audits) and participated in HSEQ related activities as described in the management system;
  • Initiates and participates in risk assessments as required for their field of responsibility and incorporates appropriate controls;
  • Ensures safe working procedures are developed, followed and updated as required.
  • Directs individuals under supervision to obtain any required competency or training as per the Ocean Infinity Training Program;
  • Includes appropriate aspects of the Client's management system (e.g. quality, health, safety, environment, business continuity, human rights, etc.) when evaluating and selecting suppliers;
  • Works towards the Client's mission and objectives by setting and following up on relevant performance indicators;
  • Drives Client's Health & Safety, Environmental and Social goals and ensures that all decision making supports those goals.
