The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore's Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    This incumbent will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of multiple MS SQL Server and PostgeSQL database servers, including troubleshooting, maintain data documentation, include writing data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata). He/She should also be able to work on/with Microsoft SSIS, SSAS for data analysis and modeling.

    Key Responsibilities:


    •Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and administrative functions.


    •Work on/with Microsoft SSIS, SSAS for CUBE reporting, data analysis and prepare/support reporting.


    •Establish, document, and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.


    •Perform advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution of database issues.


    •Respond to system problems if necessary and support internal teams as-needed basis


    •Provide technical troubleshooting for applications and database systems with emphasis on root cause analysis


    •Configure and tune hardware and software to ensure optimum performance and resource utilization


    •Display thorough knowledge of server clustering techniques and the impact on database configuration and performance


    •Maintain database results by setting and enforcing standards and controls


    •Communicate regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security


    •Develop, manage, test, and document backup and recovery plans, ensuring that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning at an optimal level

    Job Requirements:

    ·Bachelor's Degree Computer Science / Engineering, Information Science / Related IT Discipline.

    ·Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience

    ·Knowledge of standard database functions, structure and concepts.

    ·Good knowledge of database administration tasks such as hot and cold backups, database recovery, tablespace additions, security practices, etc.

    ·Have advanced installation and configuration experience in database tools

    ·Have good understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures.

    ·Knowledge of MS SQL is required.

    ·Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis is highly valued.

    ·Knowledge of other database technologies like Azure Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, MySQL, MongoDB is a bonus.
