- Be accountable for the success of SEA distributors to integrate Cepheid instruments, assays and connectivity solutions into customer laboratories by providing support to the distributor/customer from installation, implementation through verification and/or evaluation to customer go-live.
- Provide knowledge/education and demonstration of Cepheid instrumentation, software and reagents to distributors, current and potential customers where required and proactively provide enhancements for development and optimization of Cepheid assays, software and hardware.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to support account strategies aimed at increasing Cepheid business and retaining current business. Understand/track assay implementation/"Go-live" activity with distributors in-country. Ensure distributors are adhering to corporate compliance policies and Cepheid marketing/branding strategies.
- Conduct education/technical seminars and presentations at customer sites, trade shows and workshops to drive thought leader adoption of Cepheid technology. Follow normal standard of work for documentation and customer complaint handling to ensure total customer satisfaction.
- Ensure install and customer management database is updated with full activity traceability.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 5+ years of related work experience OR Master's degree in a relevant field with 3+ years of related work experience OR Doctoral degree in a relevant field with 0-2 years of related work experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience and experience in molecular/IVD and microbiology techniques.
- Demonstrated excellent project management skills and customer relations/service skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and works well both independently and team orientated.
- Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Lotus Notes/Outlook).
- Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia, up to 50%.

Cepheid, a leading provider of molecular diagnostics solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Applications Specialist to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our APAC Applications & Training team, you will play a critical role in supporting and growing our business in Southeast Asia.
Job Summary:
The Field Applications Specialist will be responsible for assessing and delivering the application of Cepheid products to meet customer needs, pre and/or post-sales, among current and potential customers and developing KOL growth. This position will work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Technical Support and Service to identify and assess customer needs to provide high quality support that exceeds expectations.
