    The Finance Team includes Accounting, Business Partner Finance, Finance Operations, Financial Systems, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Tax, and Treasury teams. Together, the team partners with leadership to provide insights, information, and guidance to make strategic and operational decisions, inform investors about our business model and progress, and ensure the company is financially healthy and consistently meeting our reporting obligations.

    We're looking for a Tax Manager to join our Tax team Working from our Singapore office, you'll collaborate with other groups within Finance and across the business to lead our APAC tax operations function, implementing process improvements and best practices within the tax operations group.

    What you'll do:

  • Lead our international income tax accounting and compliance activities for the APAC region including supporting the preparation and review of the statutory financial statements and tax filings and overseeing tax controversies
  • Partner with the business by providing tax advice on new product initiatives, markets, agreements, and operating models
  • Maintain an understanding of entity functions, intercompany flows, transactions, and agreements for Snap's APAC entities
  • Prepare and review of international tax provisions to ensure compliance with both local GAAP and US GAAP requirements
  • Manage outside service providers who prepare tax filings and calculations
  • Coordinate local tax credit and incentive studies with third-party advisors and business partners across the APAC region
  • Assist in the review of transfer pricing calculations and documentation
  • Proactively identify, manage and implement opportunities seeking tax efficiencies
  • Identify and implement process improvements across reporting and compliance workflows
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Self-starter who can operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment
  • Must have a strong work ethic and be able to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
  • Familiarity with accounting for income taxes under US and Local accounting standards
  • Detail oriented with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communicator with desire and ability to build relationships
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent years of experience
  • 6+ years of tax experience in Big 4 public accounting firm, corporate tax department of multinational company, or combination thereof
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA/Chartered Accountant or equivalent
  • Masters in Tax
  • Experience in Oracle ERP and OneSource Tax Provision software
