The Senior System Engineer is responsible to provide operational support to system infrastructure, support to the clients and resolution of technical issues and conducting root cause analysis.

He is also required to manage change request through changes requests processes including requirement gathering, impact analysis, design, testing to integrate the change to existing environment

1a.

The Insource Staff must be Singaporean and is able to meet the Authority's security clearance requirements throughout the Contract period.

In the event of a failure in the security clearance, the Supplier shall provide alternative Insource Staff within two weeks.

1b. Failure in obtaining security clearance shall not be a justification by the Supplier for failure to comply with requirements and security guidelines from the Authority.
2a. The Insource Staff shall possess at least a diploma or equivalent in Information Technology/ Computing, Electrical/Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
2b.

The Insource Staff should have at least the following technical competency:
i. Microsoft Windows Operating System.
- ii. Unix / Linux Operating System.

3a. The Insource Staff shall report for work at the Authority's designated office in Singapore.
3b. Contractual normal working hours.

Mon to Fri:
0800 hrs to 1730 hrs.
- ii. Shall respond to all phone calls within two (2) hours from the time the phone call is activated.
- iii. Standby phone support during silent hours. (The period outside contractual normal working hours is known as silent hours)
- iv. Open, track and close incident cases.
- v. Conduct preliminary troubleshooting and investigation.
- vi. Escalate incident to the necessary parties for further response or remediation.
- vii. Generate trend analysis and incident statistics report.

The Insource Staff shall provide the following engineering support:
i. Conduct corrective, preventive and predictive monitoring.
- ii. Provide continuous improvement to operational work flows and systems.
- iii. Conduct patch tracking, assessment, testing and deployment
- iv. Conduct system functional testing after patching.

Conduct system resource trend analysis.
Monitor and ensure that the system services are up and running.
Monitor and ensure system services are performing as expected.
Escalate if the system service is down or not performing as expected.
Onsite support during testing and deployment.

Perform troubleshooting This includes:

Determining root cause of the system issue.
Fault Escalation.
Fault testing in test environment.

4a. The Insource Staff shall manage the server configuration and its operating system. This includes tracking, maintaining server health and activity, troubleshooting, performing software upgrades and patches, server backup and recovery.

4c. The insource Staff shall control access to administered systems and grant access only to authorised users. SA shall manage accounts on the systems and shall assist to conduct regular account reviews to disable or remove dormant accounts.
4d. The insource Staff shall ensure the proper backup of administered systems and conduct regular testing to verify integrity of the backup data. When required, they shall be responsible for restoring the system from backups.
4e. During system handover, the Insource Staff shall verify that the system had undergone the necessary security vulnerability assessment and is securely hardened. After which, they shall ensure continuous security compliance for the administered system. If deviations are required, they shall work with the Project Manager or System M1.Diploma/ Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
Typically 7 years deployment and support with 5 years' experience in server infrastructure for Redhat Linux, Google Apps, VMWare, Cyrus (OpenSource IMAP), and GSA (Google Search Appliance)
