    Description

    The position reports to the Head of Category Management and Country Cluster, Asia Procurement and involves overseeing the entire management of designated spend categories in Singapore. The responsibilities include creating and implementing a global sourcing and vendor management strategy, executing strategic initiatives, and collaborating with key stakeholders. The role requires in-depth category knowledge to identify and implement cost reduction strategies and change management plans. Achieving targeted savings is a priority through actions like consolidating purchasing volume and utilizing total cost of ownership measures to reduce costs and effectively manage supplier contracts.

    Responsibilities:

  • Understand spend category, vendor landscape, industry trends, and emerging developments. Apply analytics for cost and demand reduction.
  • Collaborate with business leadership to align with unit goals and priorities.
  • Generate market and supplier intelligence for sourcing strategies.
  • Execute medium to high-value sourcing projects and contracts.
  • Lead the RFP, RFQ, and RFI process for Singapore.
  • Determine sourcing strategy, conduct analysis, and negotiate for projects.
  • Work with business partners to finalize requirements and select suppliers.
  • Develop terms sheets based on negotiation strategies.
  • Coordinate external resources and subject matter experts proactively.
  • Drive and lead negotiations, with consultative support from legal and risk.
  • Track and manage sourcing agenda in Singapore, monitoring progress, risk, and benefits.
  • Interface with business partners and vendor/contract managers.
  • Oversee and support vendor/contract managers in business-led initiatives.
  • Quantify savings, drive efficiencies, centralize competencies, and maximize vendor relationships.
  • Define, report, and achieve vendor metrics – both strategic and tactical.
  • Influence and develop supplier negotiation strategies in conjunction with Tower Lead.
  • Understand and leverage key vendor relationships within a specific category.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, especially for complex transactions, and ensure strategy execution in Singapore.

  • What we are looking for

  • Degree holder, preferably in procurement, business, or finance, with over 6 years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, and vendor/contract management, including a minimum of 3 years in the Asia region and virtual environments.
  • Possess expertise in procurement, vendor management, and contractual best practices.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of sourcing principles, negotiations, procurement systems, and tools. Solid analytical skills and understanding of standard contractual terms to mitigate legal and business risk.
  • Possess experience in vendor governance, risk management, and knowledge of legislative requirements related to third-party outsourcing in jurisdictions.
  • Exhibit technical and professional knowledge, problem-solving skills, and decision-making abilities. Proven innovator with a track record of change management and business process transformation.
