    The Role

    The Head of P&C, Singapore, is a senior leadership position within WTW's Corporate Risk and Broking (CRB) business in Singapore, reporting to the Head of CRB Singapore. A Singapore Executive Committee member, the Head of P&C will take on:

  • Ownership of a P&L
  • People management for the commercial and inbound teams
  • Leadership of broking for the Singapore retail P&C product lines
  • Personal responsibility for P&C broking of the large/complex Singapore P&C clients
  • Strategic responsibility for P&C broking, including utilisation and creation of facilities, strategic carrier partnerships and digital trading strategies
  • Product development including working with the Climate Resilience Hub and MAS as Insurance Linked Security lead for Asia
  • This position is a high profile, high impact role, encompassing both the strategic vision for the P&C broking function in Singapore, with commercial leadership of a seven figure P&L and a diverse team ranging from experienced professionals to fresh graduates, seeking to work under a P&C Head that can provide technical and cultural leadership.

    The Head of P&C plays a pivotal role in WTW's growth strategy by ensuring broking excellence across small, mid- and large-sized organizations, including providing integrated placement offerings to our existing clients.

    This position develops strategic broking initiatives, establishes and leads the C-suite relationship with carriers, represents WTW's broking value proposition to large clients and prospects, coordinates other broking resources within the group including regional line of business specialists, leads in complex/strategic negotiations with underwriters and presents placement strategies and propositions to key clients and prospects.

    The role supports and owns a series of globally significant initiatives including deployment of electronic trading via 'broking platform' and the development of ILS products in the Singapore market, working in collaboration with the WTW Climate Resilience Hub and the MAS.

    The Head of P&C will be a results-oriented executive, capable of creating a high-performance culture, building outstanding relationships with markets and clients and delivering strategic impact across the business.

    Key responsibilities of the P&C Head, Singapore, include:

  • Managing the Commercial and Inbound team, creating a high performing culture, achieving new business and client retention targets
  • Owning the commercial and inbound P&L delivering on revenue and profitability targets
  • Leading broking for large and complex Singapore P&C accounts
  • Taking personal ownership of a select portfolio of broking led clients and prospects
  • Collaborating with the Head of Sales, Singapore and Large Account leader, Asia on execution of the broking portion of a Singapore large account growth strategy
  • Creating and executing a facility strategy for SME business including use of/creation of MGA where relevant, aligned to International Strategy
  • Reviewing placement strategy across the Singapore business, creating and implementing a plan to optimise retail go to market strategy
  • Embedding the commission grid into the business and evidencing tangible commercial outcomes as a result as driven by Broking Function
  • Promoting use of Broking Platform across the Singapore business
  • Driving product and market development initiatives, particularly in the insurance linked security market for WTW clients globally, seeking to access ILS capacity in Singapore
  • Representing WTW in the market, across media channels and in industry forums, as well as with the MAS in respect of product development
  • Identifying and developing a pipeline of talent across the Singapore market
  • Actively participating in CRB Singapore Executive Committee
