    Description

    Job Description

    • Team Leadership and Development
      • Lead and develop the new full time LKYGBPC (Lee Kuan Yew Global Business Plan Competition) team to achieve excellence in their roles.
      • Oversee and motivate a large team of LKYGBPC staff, student volunteers and contractors responsible for various competition aspects, foster collaboration and ensure everyone is aligned with the competition's vision.
      • Own overall responsibility for the successful execution of the associated LKYGBPC activities.
    • External Relations and Partnerships
      • Fosters relationships with local stakeholders to ensure that the event benefits and integrates with the Singapore community.
      • Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan, cultivates relationships with potential sponsors, negotiates deals and ensure sponsors get maximum value from their involvement.
      • Works with internal and external PR team to craft compelling narratives, manage media inquiries and maintain a positive public image for the event.
    • Operational Excellence
      • Develop and manage program timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
      • Oversee the budget of the competition and ensure effective allocation of resources.
      • Coordinate and oversee the logistics during the roadshows and the grand finals, and ensure a seamless technical experience, including but not limited to IT, software, audio-visual equipment, stage setups and lightings for all activities.
      • Continuous monitoring of the impact of the LKYGBPC.
      • Prepare and present timely performance reports, outlining key metrics and areas for improvement to management.
      • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the activities, including but not limited to crowd control, security and other unforeseen circumstances.

    Qualifications

    • Degree from a university, in any discipline.
    • 5 to 8 years of experience in fast paced working environments, preferably leading and overseeing global conference / event / competitions.
    • Strong fundraising and sponsorship development skills.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
    • Effective communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills, ranging from senior level executives to student committees.
    • Detail-oriented and team-oriented with a strong desire to be successful.
    • Comfortable with minimal amount of direction, thrive in high pressure and high expectation situations.
    • A keen sense of ownership and accountability and act with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
    • Humble, authentic, value hard work, creative problem solver and outcome driven.
    • Up-to-date with industry trends in the innovation and entrepreneurship eco-system.
    • Deep knowledge and network in the SE Asia innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem is a plus.
