ASSISTANT MANAGER, GROUP HR

Job Description:


As a member of Group Human Resources, the incumbent will lead the portfolio of Group Development Awards under the guidance of the Manager, Group Scholarships and Awards.


The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

  • Ensure that grouplevel development awards are aligned to the overall organisational objectives and direction, and that deserving staff are accorded training opportunities for their developmental needs
  • Review the development awards framework, policies and administrative processes for relevancy and effectiveness regularly, and make recommendations for updates and changes as needed
  • Keep abreast of changes at the group and national levels, and to liaise with the Ministry of Health, other public healthcare clusters/institutions and relevant partners to ensure change and information are cascaded in an effective and timely manner
  • Lead the planning and execution of annual awards cycle including conducting briefings, performing preliminary assessment of incoming nominations, preparing and facilitating selection meetings
  • Undertake the role of pointofcontact/advisor to relevant stakeholders on matters relating to development awards framework, policies and processes
  • May lead or participate as a member in organising the annual awards ceremony
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff
  • Undertake adhoc projects relating to the Group HR department or team as assigned
Job Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor Degree in a Business Administration or Human Resources related discipline
  • Minimally with 5 years of experience in a HR generalist or HR development related role with 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong in project management, planning and prioritization
  • Meticulous and attentive to details
  • Strong command of spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to engage senior management
  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
  • Prior experience in managing scholarships and awards portfolio is advantageous but not mandatory
