As a Legal Executive Adviser for the HR department, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support to HR personnel and the organization as a whole.
Reporting to the HR Director or HR Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring HR policies, practices, and decisions are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
The Legal Executive Advisor will collaborate with HR teams to address legal issues and mitigate potential risks while promoting a legally compliant and ethical work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Compliance and
Policy Development:
Stay up-to-date with employment laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure HR policies and practices are compliant.
Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with legal requirements and company values.
- Employment Contracts and Agreements:Review, draft, and modify employment contracts, offer letters, and other HRrelated agreements to protect the company's interests and ensure legal compliance.
- Employee Relations and Investigations:Provide legal advice and support to HR in handling employee relations matters, such as disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance improvement plans.
- Labor Law and Compliance:Advise HR teams on matters related to labor law, including working hours, overtime, leaves, and other statutory requirements.
- Data Protection and Privacy:Collaborate with HR and IT teams to ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws.
- Training and Education:Conduct legal training sessions for HR staff and managers on relevant employment laws and compliance best practices.

Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date legal documentation related to HR matters, including contracts, policies, and investigations.
Ensure proper record-keeping practices are followed to demonstrate compliance.
- Risk Management:Identify potential legal risks within HR processes and propose appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Law, or a related field.
- At least 35 years of legal experience, with a focus on employment law and HRrelated matters.
- Knowledge of relevant labor laws, employment regulations, and data protection laws in the applicable region.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with HR teams and employees.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with HR processes and practices is an advantage.
- High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
