The Project Manager at our interior design company plays a pivotal role in orchestrating the successful execution of projects from inception to completion.

This multifaceted position requires exceptional organizational skills, adept communication abilities, and a keen eye for design detail.

The Project Manager oversees various aspects of project development, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards while fostering strong client relationships and team collaboration.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Trainee will attend company orientation and be introduced to the company's mission, values, and culture. Familiarization with organizational structure and key personnel. Understanding industry overview and the basics of interior design principles and concepts. Researching current trends and innovations in the interior design industry.

AutoCAD:
Overview of AutoCAD interface, commands, and navigation. Basic drawing exercises to understand drawing tools and techniques.


SketchUp:
Introduction to SketchUp interface, navigation, and workspace customization. Practice creating simple 3D models such as basic shapes and objects.

• Trainee will learn about project initation through understanding client requirements and project objectives. Conducting stakeholder analysis and identifying project constraints. Learning techniques for defining project scope and deliverables. Practice creating detailed project scope statements and work breakdown structures (WBS). Trainee will also learn about AutoCAD basics such basic drawing exercises focusing on creating 2D floor plans, elevations, and sections. Introduction to drawing precision and accuracy using snap tools and object snaps. Practice creating basic interior layout designs and annotations using AutoCAD.
• Trainee to develop project schedules by learning how to create realistic project timelines and milestones. Practice using Gantt charts and scheduling software to develop project schedules. Advanced drawing techniques in

AutoCAD:
Exploring layers and layer management for organizing drawings. Introduction to blocks and dynamic blocks for efficient design reuse. Practice creating more complex floor plans, furniture layouts, and interior details.


Introduction to SketchUp modeling:
Basic modeling tools such as push/pull, move, rotate, and scale. Practice creating simple 3D models of interior spaces, furniture, and fixtures.

• Trainee will learn about cost estimation such as learning methods for estimating project costs and budgeting. Practice creating project budgets and cost baseline. Understanding cost control techniques to manage project expenditures. Implementing strategies to track and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle.

SketchUp:
Creating custom components and groups for complex designs. Exploring plugins and extensions for additional functionality. Practice creating detailed interior models including furniture, lighting, and finishes.

• Trainee to be able to learn how to identify project risks and assess their potential impact. Practice conducting risk analysis and developing risk mitigation strategies. Understanding the importance of quality in interior design projects. Learning how to develop quality management plans and quality assurance processes. Exploring workflows for integrating AutoCAD and

SketchUp:
Importing AutoCAD drawings into SketchUp for 3D modeling. Exporting SketchUp models to AutoCAD for detailing and documentation. Practice converting 2D AutoCAD floor plans into 3D models in SketchUp for visualization.

• Trainee to learn communication techniques for effective project communication. Practice drafting project communications, including status reports and meeting minutes. Identifying project stakeholders and analyzing their interests and influence. Developing stakeholder engagement plans to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.

Utilizing AutoCAD and SketchUp for presentations:
Creating rendered images, photorealistic renderings, and animations to showcase design concepts. Practice creating presentation boards and design portfolios using AutoCAD layouts and SketchUp scenes. Learning how to effectively present design concepts to clients and stakeholders using visual aids created in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
