Position Summary
- Assist in the setting up of the Risk Management Department in accordance to the company's guidelines; Prepare and establish the Risk Management Policy and Procedure
- Identifying potential risks associated with the firm's trading activities, including market, credit, operational, and legal risks
- Measure risk both qualitatively and quantitatively to facilitate risk identification and management;
- Preparing of both regular and adhoc Risk Management Report in a timely fashion for the Management to make prompt and informed decision;
- Conduct due diligence on upstream and downstream customers, gather information regarding to the market reputation, performance of contracts, and financial status; Downstream customers are mostly China buyers
- Manage and calculate capital use budget, and exchange rate risk management and related business capital cost calculations to ensure liquidity and capital security
- Ensure the rigor of the trade contract, clarify the rights and obligations of both parties, and avoid disputes and unnecessary incurred expenses
- Monitor risk regularly and adhoc basis in a timely fashion;
- Liaise with the relevant authorities (Including relevant agencies in China)and external parties with regards to the Risk Management issues.
- To implement, monitor and manage local and China regulatory and internal liquidity risk metrics
- Liquidity Risk modelling for China markets
- Continuously review the liquidity risk framework in the light of changing business dynamics and regulatory requirements
Position Requirements
- Degree or above with major in Banking and/or Finance, Compliance, Law, Risk Management or Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years' relevant Operational Risk Management experience
- Proficient in English and Mandarin language in order to liaise with Chinese speaking associates/ customers
- Strong ability to analyze, collate and understand the business requirements
- Good interpersonal skills to liaise with traders, ARMs as well as other departments and stakeholders
- Ability to work on own initiative, willing to take on responsibility. Good lateral thinking capabilities and selfcontrol/selfsolve abilities
- Thorough and detailed working style, attention to detail
- Ability to work with/ oversee complexity and work under high pressure
- Professional and convincing communication skills with stakeholders in various roles and functions
- Decisive, wellorganized, proactive and act with care and assertiveness
