- Prepare, bake and present food effectively and efficiently, meeting the company operations manual and gold standards for a HALAL PASTRY KITCHEN.
- Ensure that procedures for supplies, equipment, and work areas are in compliance to the established standards.
- Maintain good knowledge on standard food preparation and to conduct training to juniors.
- Ensuring in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy at all times.
- Maintain good personal hygiene as well as high work and safety standards in the workplace.
- Report on time, in proper uniform and grooming.
- Administer purchasing and receiving procedures.
- Implement loss/risk prevention.
- Innovate with new culinary ingredients.
- Interpret culinary nutrition.
- Manage compliance with food and beverage hygiene policies and procedures.
- Manage cost and quality controls.
- Manage culinary operations.
- Manage baking operations.
- Manage inventory control system.
- Manage site/outlet and equipment maintenance.
- Master baking and chill methods.
- Master recipes from various cuisines.
- Plan and develop menus for baking service establishments.
- Prepare ingredients and recipes of various baking cuisines.
- Use ingredients in various baking cuisine preparation and presentation.
Job Requirements
- Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays
