Role Description & Responsibilities

Derivative Post Trade Operations (DPTO) is a client facing team; the main focus is the affirmation and confirmation of derivative trades across the FX, Rates, Credit, Equity and Commodity Asset classes.

Responsibilities

Manage outstanding FX unexecuted confirms, following up with counterparties and resolving discrepancies/disputes as applicable
Prepare and distribute periodic senior management updates on outstanding and progress
Identify missed STP opportunities and engage relevant teams to address
Work across various regions and departments to ensure timely confirm execution
Provide SME support for the ongoing process standardisation and confirmation STP
Identify risk issues, escalate where appropriate & provide assistance in resolving
Actively ensure upward, downward & peer communication of developments and issues
Carry out tasks related to the job in accordance with the instructions of the superior
Responsibility for performance of various other functions within the team as allocated
Analysis of confirmation execution trends across our client base
Assisting in the development and management of any enhancements to the product and business including the movement of clients onto electronic matching platforms
Strong OTC derivatives product knowledge
Experience in OTC confirmations process
Accuracy, attention to detail
Ability to work at a fast pace and under time pressure
Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships
Solid organisation
Ability to work well within a team on a regional as well as global level
