Financial Controller - Singapore - XENITH IG SINGAPORE PTE. LTD.

Description

To excel in this role, you should possess strong financial acumen, analytical skills and attention to detail.

You should also have advanced experience in accounting principles and regulations, with a focus on the following markets:
Singapore, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and/or Hong Kong.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial as you will be working closely with sophisticated private equity investors and executive team members.

This role will manage a team of ~4 accountants.


Specific job scope will include:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements and investor reporting guidelines
• Financial Operations: Oversee daytoday financial operations, including A/R and A/P, payroll and treasury functions. Monitor cash flow and liquidity management to support the company's working capital requirements
• Monthly Close Process: Oversee the monthly close process, including coordinating with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations and other financial documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of financial professionals. Provide guidance and support on financial matters, fostering a collaborative and highperforming finance department
• Risk Management: Implementing internal controls and risk management procedures to safeguard the company assets, such as FX exposure, and cash management procedures
• Audit Process: Coordinating and overseeing the annual audit process conducted by external auditors. This includes preparing audit schedules, providing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries

The company's accounting system is currently a combination of Quickbooks and Jurnal, but the Company will be moving to Netsuite in the next ~6 months.
